Today I remind you that it is normal to have parts of yourself that feel like they don't belong.
I want to tell you that there is nothing to be ashamed of. That from the beginning, by having a human mind and a deity's spirit and a body made of earth and animal, you were already set up to be at odds with yourself.
I want to comfort you in telling you that this is The Work, that this is okay, and that sometimes progress can feel like a setback. And to trust the process.
And to just know, without a doubt, that everything you feel is valid. You are worthy of being heard, worthy of being angry, scared, hurt, afraid, masking, hiding, hungry or joyous. Sometimes simultaneously.
You are lovable in all forms, even when The Wild speaks through you. Especially then.

About the Artist
About the Artist
Dionne Ong is a mixed-race Asian Canadian artist whose work provokes and challenges her viewers' connection with nature, infinity, and self-love.
"It's so easy to see quiet hope in Mother Nature and animals, and deem them worthy of love. And yet, we struggle to allow ourselves to be worthy of love and hope- despite being part of nature. The purpose of my work has always been to connect you to your nature."
